Is Kenny Pickett a bust or does Pittsburgh have their guy? This has been up for debate by many including myself with friends. I think it’s too early to tell. I see flashes and then I see bonehead moves. I am not one to jump to fast decisions. I would like to hold my opinion until the end of his second season. By that point it will be clear to everyone.

Although I will say I personally didn’t think Mitch Tribusky was the problem either. I really think it falls on a poor offensive line, but even more poor play calling from our offensive coordinator Matt Canada, but we won’t get into that debate, at least not now. For now let’s stick with is Kenny Pickett a bust or do the Steelers have their guy.

Below is a quote from Terry Bradshaw on his thoughts on Kenny Pickett.

“Is he a super A talent? No, but he’s an upper echelon B,” Bradshaw said. “I think they have their guy. He almost has the ‘it’ thing. If you can not have the ‘it’ thing, I get that, but he’s a guy that can get ‘it’ once they put some pieces around him.”

So, it appears Bradshaw thinks the Steelers made the right choice and Pickett is the guy. If you look at stats maybe he is right. Many quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning and even Terry Bradshaw himself have struggled their rookie season.

“I was very impressed by the way he moved the ball in the first half and made some big-time players hold the game. I think he always tries to build the game.”
Joe Burrow
on The Volume

Now Burrow is on a rival team, so it is nice to hear that come from him, but Burrow was not saying we have a future hall of fame quarterback either.

Like I said I will hold my opinion on if he is a bust or not until the end of his second season. For now I see progress, but I don’t see a franchise quarterback either. I hope Pittsburgh found our guy, but we will see. Sound off below with your thoughts on Kenny Pickett and if he is the right guy for the Steelers.
